Windows Mobile to iPhone
I’ve dumped my Vario II to get an iPhone. I am finding it an absolute revelation to use. The mobile browsing is what makes it streets ahead but everything is just so smooth.
Internet speeds on the road are quite slow but still usable. Once connected to wi-fi, it is in a class of it’s own. I can’t type quite as fast on it but because there’s no stylus to get out every time, it saves time before you start.
There aren’t any add-on bits of software like on the Windows phones yet but I found they all just caused my ppc to crash every 5 minutes anyway. Good riddance I say. Instead there are “Web apps” like widgets being developed.
The only faults I can find so far are so small, I’m not even gonna mention them.
Basically, it just works and you’ll wonder how and why Windows Mobile was ever even launched.

Yea, I didn’t wait to long to long after the original post to buy one. I’ve had it for three months and it is awesome. I get a phone every 3 months, typically WM, but lately, when I’ve gotten the itch to get a new one. I grab my iPhone and say,”let me look at some pictures of this phone or a review on that phone” How can I get rid of my iPhone when I am using it to find reviews on other phones. Looks to be a keeper, Until we are presented with a 3G option

I went from a blackjack with WM6 to an iPhone and I love it. The iPhone just works. No need to reset the phone, no weird bugs, no need to customize it, it just works. I spent a lot of my time with my blackjack customizing it to do what i wanted it to do, lots of time editing xml to get my home screen to look the way i wanted and to display the stuff how i wanted. With the iPhone, all the info i need is at my fingertips. Best phone I’ve ever owned.
