Can you unlock an iPhone without jailbreaking it?

jailbreaking means that there are scipts and shitten written into ur iphone….which lets u install wicked 3rd party applications such as summerboard and customize etc….

activation means it activates ur iphone which enables ur iphone to be used thro itunes….in simpler terms ;;;;; if ur not gonna use an AT&T sim card…u need to activate…..

    yea i live in canada so i have to unlock/activate to use it, but what if i want to use SDK instead of jailbreak? you know what i mean?

    I know what Activate/Unlock means now. What I want know is can you Activate/Unlock iPhone without Jailbreaking it because I might consider using

    yes u can!!!
    basically….jailbreaking is a process which enables u 2 use apps while the official apps r bein developed…..
    u can activate/unlok without jailbreaking….
    hav u heard of iliberty+….that the easiest way so far
    SDK….they did a review on that…its being releaseed in june… but the dev team has alredy hacked that firmware so nuthing to really worry about.
    SDK contains sum awesome apps… and new features!
    like spores and a rumour of a CTR game….
